This piece is the first doorway into a new series I am creating. an exploration of the body as memory, shelter, inheritance and spirit. I chose acrylic marker on paper because it allows no escape from truth. Every line arrives exposed. Every mark must mean something. We have inherited a world that praises certain forms and punishes others, as if beauty were narrow and divinity selective. But the body has never asked permission to be sacred. It has always been sacred. It is the first home we are given, the silent place where joy rests, grief hides, wounds heal and strength returns. In this form, I wanted to honor what many are taught to conceal: softness, volume, weight, presence. Not as flaws, but as language. Not as excess, but as evidence. Evidence of survival. Evidence of tenderness. Evidence of a life fully lived. Some will see flesh. Others will see truth. Some will see size. Others will see courage. The eye reveals the heart of the viewer. This work is for anyone who has been reduced to appearance and forgotten as a soul. You were never too much. You were never wrong in form. You were always a temple carrying grace.
