Artist Bio

Max is a Tanzanian contemporary artist working with oil and acrylic painting, known for emotionally driven works that explore spirituality, identity, human connection, and transformation. Born in Musoma, Tanzania, his journey began through early childhood curiosity and grew into a deeply personal practice of storytelling through art. His work blends reality and imagination, often centered on the human figure, especially feminine forms, as symbols of strength, vulnerability and emotion. Guided by intuition, Max allows each painting to evolve naturally, creating layered visual narratives that invite personal interpretation and reflection. His artistic development has been shaped through mentorship by Salum Kambi and participation in major exhibitions including WAHENGA, Affordable Art Fair (Kenya), Rangi Gallery shows and international charity projects in London and Ireland.
